Glengarry FSC Program Information |
The Glengarry FSC is a proud Skate Canada member and offers a full compliment of
Skate Canada programs. Glengarry is a very dynamic skating club with something
for skaters of all levels. Whether you are just starting out or are the next great
Canadian skater, we have something for you! |
Canskate is Skate Canada's "Learn to Skate" program and is the starting point for skaters across Canada. This program is very incentive oriented with many badges and levels to be achieved. This program shows skaters that our sport is very fun and rewarding too! Program Fee: 2 Days/Week $250.00 1 Day/Week $150.00 |
Powerskating The Glengarry FSC has operated and will continue do to so, an excellent Powerskating program for skaters wishing to hone their skating skills. Most of the skaters in this program are either Hockey or Ringette players that are interested in improving their skating skills. This is an excellent program with very positive results. It is a must for any serious Hockey or Ringette player. Program Fee: $200.00 |
Junior Test The Junior Test program is designed for skaters making the transition from Canskate into the Test stream. In this program the skaters receive their lessons in groups and begin working on the various disciplines such as Freeskate, Skating Skills and Dance. These skaters progress rapidly and then move into the Intermediate Test program. Program Fee: $350.00 |
Intermediate Test The Intermediate Test program is for skaters that wish to take private lessons from one of the Club's coaches and are working on up to and including their Jr. Bronze Freeskate Test, up to and including their Junior Bronze dances, as well as their Class 5 Skating Skills and lower. For many of these skaters this will be the first year that they compete in a skating competition if they so choose or take any tests. Program Fee: $500.00 |
Senior Test The Senior Test program is for our more advanced Competitive and Test stream skaters. The requirements for this program are having passed your Junior Bronze Freeskate test, Class 5 Skating Skills test and the Junior Bronze dance test. Skaters at this level work hard to be the best skaters they can be and have a lot of fun along the way. Glengarry is proud in the fact that many of our skaters have achieved Gold in all disciplines with many going on to careers in Ice shows and coaching. Program Fee: $700.00 |
Special Events & Activities Over the skating year the Glengarry FSC has various fun activities for our skaters to participate in. Last year the Club had a Halloween Party, Christmas Party as well as other activities that were a real hit with the skaters at all levels. The Club realizes the importance of these activities and will continue to work hard to offer these opportunites to our skaters in the future. |
